I have heard about this and worry about it with mine when I say the wrong thing but sorry, no suggestions.

Have a wonderful trip. I hope the flight goes as well as it can and that the visit is both fun-filled and relaxing.

Well maybe give her some black strap molasses to get things moving before the flight. But I am not sure why emotionally why baby won't poop. I know babies tend to have stress and worries just like adult but I am clueless in the help department. Good Luck!

Porgie calls John Daddy, but I am still mama. I kind of like it though, and don't really want her to call me mommy.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Nora is a happy little girl during your travels. Good luck!

Traveling is always discombobulating (sp?) to me as well. The work thing isn't your fault (other than the not remembering of calls) and the behavior of Z is not something you can control if you also want to balance his mom's feelings without being too obvious. Let some stuff GO already! Too much on the Antropologa-plate to worry about at one time. The "mommy" change is super cute and is evidence of her expanding verbal skills...and at least it's not "Mooo-oom" (said with the eyes rolled up in the head and arms crossed over the chest). Hang in there...only a few days to go!

S has called me Mommy for a while (even though I always say Mama!) and this morning J was calling from his crib, "Mommy... Mama..." perhaps in an effort to see which one I would respond to. Hopefully your luck will turn and it will be a sleepy, easy, and uneventful trip.

This reminds me of our first outing as a family of four last August, when baby was five days old or something. We went to a park, and across the street someone was using the world's loudest sandblaster to repair a stucco house. Between newborn ear sensitivity, big sister's general discomfort with loud noises, and my postpartum nerves it was not the most relaxing outing. Glad you found the ducks in the end.

Is there any way to incorporate any of it into your day? Obviously not the prom dresses...but a nice piece can make you feel happy even if there's no reason for it! I definitely don't recommend clothing use as a motivation for attending worship services, but flamenco or political office sound fun....

Rachel,

It's not so much that I kept the prom dresses, as that my mother keeps everything and then gives it to me and I can't get rid of it if she didn't.

Caro,

As it is I already dress up more than most people. But it's an idea!

Congrats on 5. Sounds like a wonderful dinner and who does not love garlic butter. That is so fun that you kept your prom dresses. Baby must love that her dress up wardrobe is extensive.
