Upon our anniversary, I’d informed Husband that this was to be the Year of Compliments. Compliments to me, that is, on my physical attractiveness. I already tell him how hot he is all the damn time.
“Is that because you’re so old now?” he queried, serious.
Me: [blink, blink]
After some…discussion…I decided he needed an example. “Like if I’m commenting that no matter how much exercise I do, my tummy is still jiggly, instead of saying, ‘It’s genetic where you keep your fat,’ you could say, ‘What are you talking about? You have almost no body fat! Except for your breasts, which are fantastic!’”
I guess we’ll see how well he takes direction.
